Fall pop-up reunion for the class of 1971

Sixteen classmates and their associated friends showed up for our gathering at Last Chance Tavern and Grill on October 24. Joan Kooi (Mentink) and her husband Mike happened to be in town for a funeral. While we were sad about their reason, we were glad to have them make time to join us! Paul Vander Zee also popped in, which was a good thing, as he is customarily in the Seattle area. Check out the photos of all the beautiful people that attended in the photo gallery (sorry to have missed photos of Dave Boersma, Ross & Mary Witteveen, and Judy Westenbroek Lacks). Thank you to those that expressed their regrets but were there in spirit: Karen DeBruyn, Ross Post and Jan (Start) Underhill. 

We learned that Doug Keegstra is passing on the responsibility of heading up the reunion planning committee due to health concerns. Thank you, Doug, for  offering to lead back in 2022, and we wish you all the best. We know that the committee will step up to carry on. At this point, plans are to hold another reunion in September 2026. Watch for more news in the future.
